We advise clients of our financial adviser contacts on investment in film partnerships on a selective basis.  Designed to encourage investment in the British film industry, these schemes are complex but can deliver worthwhile returns to those who have an appetite for high risk investment.

Film Partnerships were very popular a few years back but due to a series of rule changes in recent years, are now suitable for only a small minority.

These are two exemptions from the recent rule changes:

• Active partners, defined as those who spend no less than 10 hours per week on the business of their partnership;
• Or those claiming losses up to £25,000 per annum
